John Chanley Proud

Born in 1892, he enlisted as a Private in 19 (Bantams) DLI in 1915. He served with 19 DLI throughout the First World War and was promoted to Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant in 1917. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 1919 "for services in the field". John Proud died in 1960.
